Excellent relaxing stay in a luxurious lodge. I don’t think the photos do the lodges justice to be honest. Very comfy and well maintained. We had a lake view and this was worth the premium. There is nothing there but lodges (no play area or anything) and its very quiet. Ideal for a short break and convenient for the local beaches which are about 10-15 minutes away. Beds were fine, but a little on the soft side and the pillows not quite as comfy as I’d like. Everything clean, and the hot tub was great. Especially as its beside the water.
Things to know:
1. You cannot park outside your lodge, you park in the common car park, and only one car per lodge. This isn’t really a problem so long as you know before you go!
2. Wifi was good, but no streaming is allowed so download any content before you go.
3. Phone signal good (EE) so 4g available.
If you are a biker there is a great cycle trail (old railway) called the cookcoo trail nearby, the best way to get to it is turn left as you come out onto the main road, then about 50 Meters turn left at the fork (just to get of the busy road) then next right and then cross over the busy road. After that, the road is closed to vehicular traffic and makes a nice ride (or walk) to get to the end of the cookcoo trail. The main road that runs immediately past the site is a little fast and bendy and not great for cyclists but its just 50M to a nice route.

My partner and I stayed for a weekend in March (just as we were going into lockdown) and came back for a short break in October. Both times the Lodge has been spotless, quiet, relaxing and welcoming. Lovely stay and hot tub, this time however I have to say that the beds are not comfortable, the plastic protector and sheets just don’t fit well and we had to strip and remake the bed every morning. Apart from the bed we would and have recommended to friends and family
